Made possible by funding from the King County Veterans Program, Blaine Veterans Center Enhanced Shelter serves Veterans in need with:
- 36 shelter beds separated by 3 short walls for male-identifying Veterans ages 18 and older
- 24-hour access to a safe space and supports
- 3 meals a day, laundry services, showers/hygiene, bus tickets for appointments, limited personal storage, kitchenette, computer & TV
- Smooth and safe operations with round-the-clock staffing
- On-site housing navigation support, Compass case management services, King County Collaborative Case Management Program services, and skill development opportunities
Blaine Veterans Center is an enhanced 24-hour shelter program for single Veteran male-identifying individuals in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. This program requires a commitment to seeking housing, employment/a source of income, and engaging in goal-oriented case management. Participants will work with their Housing Case Manager to create Action Plans that will address their barriers and work on their next step towards stable housing. We are a harm reduction facility and are committed to the Housing First model. Blaine Veterans Center is ADA accessible and has a wheelchair ramp.
About King County’s Collaborative Case Management Program:
CCM is a first-in-the-nation, award-winning program that supports low-income veterans experiencing homelessness by providing rental assistance through a Housing and Urban Development-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) voucher and services through the King County Veterans Program. The program is now a permanent program and is funded by the Veterans, Seniors, and Human Services Levy (VSHSL).
