The Compass Housing Alliance Ambassador Council is a gathering of community members who desire to be of service, expand their networks, and become ambassadors to the larger community on behalf of Compass and the people we serve. Recently, they SERVED the Compass community directly by cooking a fantastic BBQ for the Veterans at our Blaine Veterans Center!
From left to right: Besert poses with Charlene, director of emergency services at Blaine Veterans Center. Paul Winterstein is showing us how it is done on the grill! Jon Perrino and Chris Nutter, both Ambassador Council members, are shown here prepping for yet another Ambassador Council event! The crew at Blaine Veterans Center, including long-time supporter Boots Winterstein – in the black shirt next to Sam in his fisherman’s hat, prepared and served burgers, hot dogs, and more! Boots is also involved with our affiliate organization, LCSNW. She is dedicated to making a difference!
“This event was so amazing, and I’ve heard nothing but praise from the guests,” said Besert Asefa, program manager at Blaine Veterans Center. “It means so much for the Veterans to feel seen and appreciated. They are already asking for the next time the Ambassador Council can come back! They are literally hungry for more. I am glad to have people like the Ambassador Council as part of our community!”
