We have news to share with you.

After six years of service, CEO Janet Pope has departed from Compass Housing Alliance. Compass has grown under Janet’s leadership, ushering in a dynamic response to the needs of our community. During Janet’s tenure, Compass Housing Alliance has:

  • Launched the first 24/7 emergency services program in the region. Today, Compass is helping move people from shelter to housing more swiftly and successfully than ever before.
  • Developed 200+ more units of permanent affordable housing at Compass Broadview, Compass on Dexter, Ronald Commons, and more.
  • Crafted an Intended Impact and Theory of Change of Stability, Growth, and Community through a lens of Innovation, defining Compass Housing’s programmatic direction.
  • Built a strong leadership team to carry the agency into the future.

This coming year marks the 100th Anniversary of Compass Housing Alliance’s work in meeting individuals and families wherever they are on their journey to home. Compass remains committed to providing day services, emergency shelter programs, and permanent affordable housing to help our vulnerable community members move from surviving to thriving.

Compass Housing’s Director of Human Resources Liz Jarrard has stepped into agency leadership as the Compass Housing Board of Directors identifies an Interim CEO and launches a national search for a permanent CEO. We look forward to keeping you updated as we identify new leadership to carry Compass Housing into the future.

We thank Janet for her service to Compass and wish her well in her future endeavors.

Thank you for your partnership,
