On January 4, 2019, friends, family, and Compass Housing Alliance staff gathered to remember all those who passed away in 2018 as a result of living on the streets.
The service was held at the Church of Steadfast Love, which is not a program run by Compass Housing

Rev. Rick Reynolds of Nightwatch shared a few stories of people he’s met over the years who lived on the streets and struggled to survive in Seattle’s harsh weather.

Then while musician Susan Siverson played piano, the name of each person who passed away in 2018 was read as a candle was lit. Several family members embraced with tears in their eyes as the event concluded.
